CleanCopy Privacy Policy

CleanCopy does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. No data ever leaves your device.

All processing — table extraction, cleaning, and export (CSV, TSV, Markdown, or JSON) — happens entirely on your device. The extension only accesses webpage content when you activate it.

CleanCopy stores the following data locally in your browser’s storage, solely to support the extension’s features:

• Usage counts — anonymous tallies of how many times you extract, copy, download, or pick a table (e.g. "copy:tsv = 5"). No page content or URLs are included.
• Install information — how the extension was installed (e.g. from the Web Store, unpacked for development) and the date of first install.
• Picked table data — when you use "Pick on Page", the selected table is briefly held in local storage so it can be displayed in the popup. It is deleted immediately after the popup reads it.

None of this data is linked to your identity, sent to any server, or accessible to any party other than you.

CleanCopy does not track your browsing history, read pages you have not explicitly activated the extension on, or use cookies.
